• Bug#1095616: unsatisfiable golang-any in unstable

    From Antoine Beaupre@21:1/5 to All on Sun Feb 9 21:00:01 2025
    Package: golang-1.23-src
    Version: 1.23.5-1
    Severity: serious

    I'm trying to rebuild g10k in sid, and it fails:

    golang-1.23-go : Depends: golang-1.23-src (>= 1.23.6-1) but it is not installable
    golang-src : Depends: golang-1.23-src but it is not installable

    The g10k build-dep is simply `golang-any`, without any version
    specifier.

    It seems like golang-1.23-src 1.23.6 didn't actually make it to
    unstable:

    anarcat@angela:g10k$ rmadison golang-1.23-src
    debian:
    golang-1.23-src | 1.23.5-1~bpo12+1 | stable-backports | all
    golang-1.23-src | 1.23.5-1 | testing | all
    golang-1.23-src | 1.23.5-1 | unstable | all

    It seems like the arch: all binaries didn't get build at all:

    https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=golang-1.23

    It looks like there's a circular dependency there:

    golang-1.23 build-depends on:
    - golang-1.23-go:amd64
    golang-1.23-go depends on missing:
    - golang-1.23-src:amd64 (>= 1.23.6-1)

    So I suspect this is breaking all golang builds right now, unless I'm
    somewhat doing this wrong.
