    gnome-shell 48 is being uploaded to Unstable now. Could you
    cherry-pick the merge proposal you linked to and upload it to
    Unstable?

    With that merge request, you'd need to update debian/control like this:
    gnome-shell (>= 48~), gnome-shell (<< 49~)

    Thank you for today's upload of gnome-shell-extension-blur-my-shell.
    Could you do another upload, source-only, with urgency=high ? The high
    urgency helps it to not slow down the GNOME Shell transition without
    needing Release Team hinting.
