    Bumping severity as the package is uninstallable due to this issue.

    d/control hardcodes the version range, so it needs a source update:

    Package: python3-zstandard
    Architecture: any
    Depends:
    ${misc:Depends},
    ${python3:Depends},
    ${shlibs:Depends},
    # Temporarily force libzstd1 version requirement
    libzstd1 (>= 1.5.6~),
    libzstd1 (<< 1.5.7~),

    See also https://github.com/indygreg/python-zstandard/issues/252, https://github.com/indygreg/python-zstandard/issues/254, https://github.com/indygreg/python-zstandard/pull/255 which would
    seem
    to indicate that sourceful updates are necessary for each new libzstd version.

    The patches from SUSE from that PR seem to work, so I've team-uploaded
    them just now to fix this bug so that the situation can get unblocked
