    Well, it still didn't work.

    Do we need a dependency somewhere on the current version in unstable?
    (the failing tests say "testing").

    I'd like to understand this but I entered the autopkgtests world recently...

    I'm open for ideas.

    I figured out what was wrong (after some testing). Hopefully fixed in 2.6.1-6.
