    Hi,

I added you tach@ so you can let us know if you also feel positive about a RM of the hiki package.

Upstream is indeed not pushing any real updates.
And the hiki package lacks maintenance in Debian and has no tests to ensure it works.

Ruby 3.2 removed taint and untaint methods: https://bugs.ruby-lang.org/issues/16131#note-3

I installed hiki today, and it outputs this in the browser:

    Hiki Error

undefined method `untaint' for an instance of String (NoMethodError)
    /usr/share/hiki/hiki.cgi:20:in `<top (required)>'
    /var/www/hiki/hiki.cgi:2:in `load'
    /var/www/hiki/hiki.cgi:2:in `<main>'

I tried to remove some of the method calls, but it was not enough to get it working.
This seems to be not actively maintained upstream. Last release was in Mar 29, 2013. Commits seems to be only doing automatic dependency updates.

Unless someone steps in to fill the upstream maintainer role, it may be better to remove this package.
