• Bug#1104727: Unable to start, missing dependency on qml6-module-org-kde

    From Faidon Liambotis@21:1/5 to All on Mon May 5 13:10:01 2025
    Package: kasts
    Version: 25.04.0-2
    Severity: serious

    kasts does not start in an out of the box install:

    $ kasts
    Database version 11
    QQmlApplicationEngine failed to load component
    qrc:/qt/qml/org/kde/kasts/qml/Main.qml:82:5: Type SettingsView unavailable
    qrc:/qt/qml/org/kde/kasts/qml/Settings/SettingsView.qml:12:1: module "org.kde.kirigamiaddons.settings" is not installed

    "apt install qml6-module-org-kde-kirigamiaddons-settings" resolves this
    issue, so this is likely the case of a missing Depends.

    Thank you for maintaining KDE!

    Regards,
    Faidon
