• Bug#1104791: bwidget: Dialog fails to display in Gnome/X11

    From Sergei Golovan@21:1/5 to All on Tue May 6 16:20:01 2025
    Package: bwidget
    Version: 1.10.1-2
    Severity: grave
    Tags: upstream
    Justification: renders package unusable

    Dear Maintainer,

    The following script fails to show the dialog window on updated
    Debian/testing (using Gnome/X11):

    package require BWidget
    Dialog .m
    .m add -text Yes
    .m add -text No
    .m draw

    (after the last command nothing happens, the script hangs).
    This makes for example Tkabber or any Tk program that uses
    BWidget's Dialods unusable, hence the severity.
