• Bug#1104982: rust-graphene-sys FTBFS with the nocheck build profile

From Helmut Grohne@21:1/5 to All on Fri May 9 14:10:01 2025
    Source: rust-graphene-sys
    Version: 0.20.7-1
    Severity: serious
    Tags: ftbfs

rust-graphene-sys fails to build from source when enabling the nocheck
build profile. A build ends as follows:

    debian/rules execute_before_dh_auto_build
    make[1]: Entering directory '/build/reproducible-path/rust-graphene-sys-0.20.7' cp /usr/share/gir-1.0/GObject-2.0.gir /build/reproducible-path/rust-graphene-sys-0.20.7
    cp /usr/share/gir-1.0/GLib-2.0.gir /build/reproducible-path/rust-graphene-sys-0.20.7
    cp /usr/share/gir-1.0/Graphene-1.0.gir /build/reproducible-path/rust-graphene-sys-0.20.7
cp: cannot stat '/usr/share/gir-1.0/Graphene-1.0.gir': No such file or directory
    make[1]: *** [debian/rules:10: execute_before_dh_auto_build] Error 1
    make[1]: Leaving directory '/build/reproducible-path/rust-graphene-sys-0.20.7' make: *** [debian/rules:3: binary] Error 2
dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules binary subprocess returned exit status 2

Consider reviewing <!nocheck> annotations in Build-Depends.

    Helmut
