  • Bug#1102249: labplot: needs update for libixion 0.20.0

From Rene Engelhard@21:1/5 to All on Sun Apr 6 19:50:02 2025
    Package: labplot
    Version: 2.11.1-2
    Severity: wishlist

    Hi,

[ I was surprised to see labplot in https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/auto-libixion.html (thankfully I checked - otherwise I would have just uploaded this with LO 25.8.0 since it was the only r-dep of liborcus which was the only r-dep of
    libixion...).

    Anyways:

labplot needs updates for libixion 0.20. It doesn't FTBFS with

ii libixion-dev:amd64 0.20.0-2 amd64 general purpose formula parser & interpreter library -- development
ii liborcus-dev:amd64 0.19.2-6+b1 amd64 library for processing spreadsheet documents -- development

    but

-- Could NOT find Orcus (missing: Ixion_INCLUDE_DIR)
-- Orcus library or Ixion NOT FOUND.

happens and it seems to be silently disabled then (I don't think this is a good idea, such stuff should
be set explicitely... In this case it could "help" the transition though whenever it will be ;-)).-

Looking at the upstream repo I see https://github.com/KDE/labplot/commit/ecaf92c2901da26096c77ee9458dea3098352641
    https://github.com/KDE/labplot/commit/ecaf92c2901da26096c77ee9458dea3098352641.patch=

    Please apply.

The one above does not apply in the cmake parts, since it relies on earlier/later commits for the context and I get confused by cmake.
But it probably serves as a status point, https://github.com/KDE/labplot/commits/master/?after=0875430bf4b066b1d7d519b54838c6c18b800eee+104
    has various cmake stuff...

    Regards,

    Rene

FTR, liborcus 0.20.0 also was accepted in experimental yesterday. Above (partial) patch also changes the orcus .pc/include search
