The debian/po/* files are outdated, since somehow debconf-updatepo was
not run.
This causes that some string which were translated, are no longer
shown as translated.
E.g. for German (which I think is especially important to you), the translation is now (510t4f7u), i.e. 13 strings are not translated.
To rectify this, I suggest the following:
1) You run debconf-updatepo in your sources and commit the updated
files in debian/po/ somewhere.
2) You inform me, and I will arrange with all previously completed
languages (currently de, es, nl, pt but the call for updates is
still running till 2025-05-19) so that the 13 strings are updated
as well.
3) You make the upload as previously discussed later next week, once I
give you the "go" (i.e. I know from the langauges that they updated
or will not update again).
4) You request inclusion in Trixi with debian-release, if you need
support from my side, please let me know.
Post Trixie you should investigate why this happened, i.e. where in
you workflow / debian/rules the error lies.

Ok, here is my ping to you. Please check if the problem you observed is
gone. If not, I need to take a look again.

Ok. Waiting now...

Yep.

Thanks for making this plan and spotting the issue.
4) run "dch -r" and upload :-))
If you need any help talking to the release managers, please let me know.

Do you have an ETA? Since we are in the freeze, proceeding soon would
be good.

We currently have a functional change/rollback in the pipeline that shall go in with the language updates. I reckon we can upload throughout the coming week.

A functional update will need a good justification for the RMs to
accept, I hope this is the case …
