    Package: ftp.debian.org
    Severity: normal

Please remove the s390x binaries of pgpool2:

    pgpool2, libpgpool2, libpgpool-dev, postgresql-17-pgpool2

The package is not supporting big-endian architectures anymore.

    Thanks,

    Re: Pranav P

    Hi Christoph,

I am from IBM and was just going through the github issue which was raised in regards to this.
I would love to take a look at the issue. If I can find anything I will update.

    Thanks!

Fwiw, there is also the question if the s390x buildd for apt.postgresql.org is coming back:

    https://www.postgresql.org/message-id/Z9Gn0VV4fJ8qT8tL%40msg.df7cb.de

The machine at Marist College wasn't keeping up.

I checked in with the team today and we're still aiming to move the
Postgres allocation to a new part of the Marist environment to improve performance, but there keep being delays. I'm hopeful it'll be done
    this month.

If the situation with these builders is improved, will support for the
packages noted in this bug return, or was there another technical
    reason for removal?

Thanks for the update. It would have been nice to get some feedback on
this before - getting support for this machine was pretty hard, I had
to poke people for weeks before I got the first answer from
engineering, and that was just "everything is too busy", and silence
since then. If we want to support s390x on apt.postgresql.org again,
support (and performance) needs to be much better.

If the situation with these builders is improved, will support for the packages noted in this bug return, or was there another technical
    reason for removal?

These are two independent problems. pgpool2 just doesn't work on s390x
    atm: https://github.com/pgpool/pgpool2/issues/106
