• Bug#1107373: debhelper: installing modprobe files into /usr/lib

From Andrea Pappacoda@21:1/5 to All on Fri Jun 6 15:50:01 2025
    Package: debhelper
    Severity: wishlist
    Version: 13.24.2

    Hi!

dh_installmodules currently installs debian/*.modprobe files under /etc/modprobe.d. The trend recently has been to move stuff under /usr.

Since libkmod now supports loading files from /usr/lib/modprobe.d, would
it make sense to install d/*.modprobe files there? Maybe with compat 14?

    Let me know! Bye :)
