Due to recent events, the point release has been postponed. A new date
    will be announced when possible.

Given the centrality of xz, and standing that AFAIK the intricacies of
the attack are not yet fully understood, should we expect a complete
rebuild of the whole pool against an audited version? Maybe only the testing/sid/experimental pool?

    Thanks,
    Gian Piero.

Release, Wanna-Build, DSA, Security and FTP Teams are in discussion what
    the best way forward is.

    weekend.

The archive side of the point release has now finished, and an archive
update is in progress, so packages should start appearing on mirrors in
the next couple of hours or so.
