I'm not sure where to start.
I've tried several versions of the ISO. I've tried both CD install and USB but it always fails shortly after the GRUB screen.

Was this a bare-metal test or inside an LDOM?

bare-metal. To date, I never tried using Solaris on it.
Would you have the time to bisect this?
I can't bisect hardware failures.
I thought this regression came with a certain kernel version? I'm confused.

Are you installing bare metal or inside an LDOM?
I have Debian unstable running on a T5240 inside an LDOM and it runs
stable.
There are however stability issues with bare-metal installations that are currently being investigated.

Could you test whether Solaris 11.4 CBE works fine on your T5240?
See: https://www.oracle.com/de/solaris/solaris11/downloads/solaris-downloads.html

I've downloaded 11.3 I'll work to install 11.3 this evening and report
back.
From there I ran:
So this probably isn't the proper place to continue with this since this
list is for Debian. But I don't really know where to go from here. I'm
just trying to start with Sun/Sparc things.
