I would like to add here that the positive feedback from Debian
Developers / sponsors about this work is certainly much more significant
    than the snipes.

HÃ¥vard. Please consider that Phil's messages aren't just for you.

As a sponsor I very much appreciate his work as it lowers the activation energy necessary for me to decide to work on an RFS from a contributor who's starard of work I'm not familiar with.

You should feel free to filter Phil's mails in your MUA if they truly bother you, but I belive you'd be shooting yourself in the foot doing so.

    Hi Daniel, Havard,

Many thanks Daniel for the appreciation of my contribution to Debian Mentors. I actually missed this comment at the bottom of the submitted RFS.

To clarify, the reviews I do are not a script. Each test is manually run and re-run when required.

This is the fourth snipe at me by persons regarding the contribution I make to
    Debian Mentors.

Some people who submit packages to Mentors feel defensive when anyone points out
that the work they have done isn’t perfect. I understand the feeling as that is generally my
first knee-jerk reaction when people make suggestions for my work. However, if the
criticism is provided in a respectful manner we should all learn to not respond emotionally,
especially because Phil’s suggestions are just going to be brought up by whoever sponsors
the package, and by the FTP Masters if it has to go through NEW.

In other words, Phil, don’t take it personally. I think some of the adjustments you have
made have improved your process, so I am grateful for that. But in other cases you can
just ignore people who don’t like that your suggestions to improve their packaging are
    accurate.
