    Hello Mentors,


    At https://packages.debian.org/source/bullseye/gnutls28
    are the packages 'gnutls30' and 'gnutls28-dev'.

    And missing to me are the packages 'gnutls28' and 'gnutls30-dev'

    But are they truely missing? In other words:
    Why is there no 'gnutls28'? (There is a 'gnutls28-dev' )
    Why is there a 'gnutls30' whitout a 'gnutls30-dev'?

    There used to be, simply the SONAME changed over time from 28 to 30
    (back in 2015).

    Why is there a 'gnutls30' whitout a 'gnutls30-dev'?

    Because renaming -dev packages is hard. If I were the maintainer I
    would make the effort to rename it to gnutls-dev without the number (and
    there is a Provides in place already, so you could just go with that).

    Back in the time versioned -dev packages were considered ok, nowadays
    they are discouraged.
