  • Provenance of java/res/drawable/emacs_wrench.png

    Hello Po,

    I'm preparing Emacs 30.1 for Debian.
    There is a new image file whose copyright and license status I cannot
    account for: java/res/drawable/emacs_wrench.png

    I think this is an Adwaita icon image superimposed on the Emacs logo.
    Is that right? I would be grateful if you could let me know the sources
    for the image.

    Quite fine, and indeed desirable.

    It's an XDG Tango icon (preferences-system.svg) superimposed over
    emacs.svg and which is in the public domain. The web page of this icon
    theme and its releases appear to have vanished, but they were till
    lately available at http://tango.freedesktop.org.

    I think it would be good to document this somewhere, like the excellent information found in etc/images/README.

    So it would be nice to mention the origin.
