What version of *Debian* are you using? Kali is based on Debian but
it is not Debian. It could be that they do things very differently.
What version of Python do you need? Is it the same that the book tells
you?
Writing "There are lots of errors" tells us nothing.
Does Wireshark for Security Professionals suggest anything to try,
perhaps, if it doesn't work?
