Package yum is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source

E: Package 'yum' has no installation candidate*

    Am I doing something wrong?
How can I install yum in my Debian 12?

    According to https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=yum&searchon=names&exact=1&suite=all&section=all
, this packages is not available in debian 12, it was only available up
    to debian buster (10).

It appears that you are not subscribed to the list and therefor not
seeing the replies. Go to lists.debian.org to subscribe and to see the
rplies that have already been made.

There is no yum package in Debian. What is it that you are actually
    trying to do?
