    I believe some of the first computers he used had mercury delay line memory. He's 90+ now ... and still programs.

    This got me thinking: I knew a lady who worked (programmed ?) Leo systems, some of these had mercury delay line memory. We have not spoken in 20+ years, I have pinged her an email ... xx@which.net ... stuck in my outgoing mail queue :-(

    He got his very first hearing aid about a year ago ... and has quite a
    bit of fun going in and tinkering around with low level code in it,
    to be able to further customize it to get it to behave exactly as he likes.
