    I've remerged that pkg & the results in 'syslog' & from Strace have changed. The latter is now twice the length it was before
    & the "splash" lines have disappeared from the end of 'syslog'.

    As they are both very long, I'll send them to you both off-list.
    If anyone else would like to see them, please let me know.
