Once it's been converted to .doc, it ought to have forgotten whatever
format it used to be in!
What happens if you send them a regular Word .doc? Or .docx?

I successfully converted a Google Doc to word doc and the person I sent it to was able to open and read it just fine. However, after they downloaded it to their computer in the word doc format, it is now coming up blank.
Can you tell me why this might be happening and how to fix it?
