  • Execute Excel spreadsheets and macros in French on a PC with English Ex

    My Windows 10 and my MS-office 2016 are in English, and I need to use spreadsheets written in French windows + French Excel, for a local association that I am helping pro bono.

    When I open a spreadsheet I can read the data, but all macros fail because the code and formatting parameters are for a French version. (Swiss-French)

    It is not an option that I modify the code to English, because other people in the association continue to access it on French versions of Windows + Excel.

    Is there any add-in that would allow my English Excel to understand the French macros?

    Or alternately, is it possible to install Excel twice on one machine, once in English and once in French?


    Any pointers gratefully appreciated.
