    You would have thought that, of all people, Microsoft coders should
    appreciate the difference between an "Excel Workbook" and an "Excel Spreadsheet", wouldn't you?

    Right click on the desktop, hover on "new" and you get offered the
    opportunity to add a "Microsoft Excel Worksheet" to your desktop. Select
    it and an Excel Workbook file is added to your desktop.

    Hover over any Excel Workbook file and it'll tell you the file is an
    Excel Spreadsheet.
