This used to be a really valuable and enjoyable place. I started a
facebook group with a similar name, but so far only one taker.

    Hi Bev,

I just noticed your posts in a few USENET groups. I had wondered what you
were doing. Evidently you are in FB and web lands now.

I'm only on USENET Groups and email. Even for those time is getting shorter each day.

My wife is in FB. So sad what she sees and heres for news. She does have
    some crafting friends there.

    Be well,

    David

I still check this newsgroup each day. Lots of nuttin'.

I don't do Facebook or any of the other commercial
"social networks." Just good old, ad-free Usenet
    for me.

I had been doing a website with a friend that covers
various topics including some consumer issues, but
it's been languishing for the past year. It's just
difficult to find either time or inspiration/motivation
to write new articles for it these days.

I hope everyone is doing well, even with lack of
    Usenet posts.

Nyssa, who at least has a few newsgroups with
some activity to keep her coming back each day

ObFrugal: Covid really killed yard sales!

Many still happening here. We also have a strong group of people that watch for good stuff thrown out in trash. We kind of seperate thus stuff on trash days and the day before so it is easy to spot and pick up. Many people are also into recycling items, repairing if needed, and giving to those that need such things. Chairs, walkers, tables go really fast around here.
