    I'll be glad when the new year arrives. Mostly because the tv ads for St
    Judes Children's Research Hosp. will cease. They start around
    Thanksgiving and continue till the end of the year. Apparenely this is
    the time of year they can scam the most money out of people (suckers),
    who donate to crap like this.

    If you think this is a good charity, IT'S NOT. A huge percentage of the
    money they get is used for advertising. Then they pay off their top
    executives six digit salaries. That leaves a very small percentage that actually is used for cancer research.

    Their commercials are sickening. You get to look at a lot of child
    models who have their heads shaved, then you have to listen to some guy
    who sounds like a caller in an obscene phone call. And the commercials
    are long and sickening.

    If this is not bad enough, I noticed several chain stores, such as
    "Dollar General" are now advertising this scam, and we get to look at
    more bald kids when we go to these stores.

    DO NOT give money to this SCAM charity!

    According to online charity sources, 82 cents of every dollar donated goes to patient care and research. Among big charities, they seem to be one of the better handled ones.
