| Last month, Cruz led other legislators in filing a brief to the
| Supreme Court against the Optical Training Program, a Department of
| Homeland Security visa initiative that allows international students
| to work in the U.S. for up to three years after graduating. The
| program is often a precursor for H-1B visa hopefuls. Cruz argued the
| long-standing program is unlawful and creates competition for U.S.
| workers.

| American workers," Cruz said in a statement. "This is a broken visa
| program that needs to be fixed."
