| The economy and fiscal issues matter to voters, of course. But they
| don't set DeSantis apart from the rest of the pack. Every Republican
| attacks Biden because of the economy. DeSantis needs a visceral
| issue to make his own. It's not an obscure matter either: it's
| immigration and Law and Order.

| Trump has released a solid immigration plan. But he appears too
| distracted (exactly as in the 2020 campaign) to make it his central
| issue.
