    From John D Groenveld@21:1/5 to All on Thu Nov 9 10:48:32 2023
VDare's Washington Watcher II on whether Susie Wiles worries that a
man or woman of the Left or Right could outflank Donald Trump from
the right on the National Question by warning legacy American proles
that Trump will sign comprehensive immigration reform legislation
passed by the likes of Mike Johnson and Mitch McConnell so long as
the Cheap Labor Lobby includes the magic words: "merit-based": <URL:https://vdare.com/articles/rep-mike-johnson-could-be-a-transformative-house-speaker-if-he-acts-on-his-immigration-record>
    | Good news is, trying to stop Biden's border invasion has broad
    | support within the GOP conference. Even ""moderates" want action.
    | Thus McCarthy tried to coax hardline conservatives into voting for
    | his budget proposal last month by offering funding for a wall,
    | immigration law enforcement, and reinstituting Remain in Mexico. It
    | did not mandate e-Verify or other sensible patriotic immigration
    | reforms, but it was better than nothing. Hardliners didn't accept
    | it, but it showed that ""moderates" will support border security.

Will Lachlan Murdoch loan Ron DeSantis the FoxNews.COM campaign
bullhorn to allow DeSantis or a campaign surrogate of likes of Mike
Emmons to stump for an immigration moratorium?

"Watching Trump simply refuse to even consider or propose *any*
alternative to Kevin McCarthy solely because McCarthy is loyal to
Trump is really incredible. Don't want Donalds? Okay. Pick somebody
else? Nope. Only "my Kevin." So much for draining the swamp. https://t.co/hbAkdm1QbC" - Pedro Gonzalez <URL:https://twitter.com/emeriticus/status/1610942914359873536>
