and with the media behind them they have been relatively successful at it.


Things have changed though. The legacy media is no longer trusted and people are getting their news from multiple Internet sources like podcasts etc.
So in effect, people can now hear both sides of the issues if they choose to.

And the democrats can blame their parties collapse on the Joe Biden administration
and the ultra far left policies they supported. Couple this with the clear policy
of America last and it's no wonder Trump got elected.

Currently the democrat party is in disarray with no leadership, no platform other
than oppose and attack anything Trump does. And the media still have not learned
their lesson as they are now tripling down on the same old Trump's a "Nazi" style
rhetoric that lost them the 2020 election.

The people are no longer falling for it.
Even democrats are seeing a POTUS accomplish more in 6 months than Biden did in 4 years.
Is everything going to be a success?
Of course not.
But the point is that Trump *IS* trying to correct the disasters caused by the Biden
administration.

His border policy is working big time in terms of encounters/crossings.
It's effectively been shut down to illegal migrants.
etc.

It's going to take time to bring the US back to the icon of power, strength
and prosperity but as long as the far left policies don't begin to take root again, we will make it happen.

Many now say that Americans never deserved medical science in the first

What's telling about the "big reforms" in the BBB's Medicare section is
that their implementation has been deliberately delayed until after 31
December 2026.

Thus, a contradiction:

Is it that there's huge amounts of fraud from lazy Americans and illegal immigrants/etc which makes getting the reforms in place urgent?

Or is it that there isn't much fraud at all, so since these are real
cuts being made to vulnerable populations, to limit the fallout, it is
being delayed until after the Nov 2026 Midterm elections?

In the meantime, the "no taxes on SS" is bogus math: they're relying on
the existing STD tax deduction and a few plus-up's (all temporary?) for
their "no taxes on SS" claim: one already gets the STD deduction
regardless of if one is collecting SS.

Likewise, the "no taxes on Overtime" details are scummy too. One of its provisions is that the only portion that's become untaxed is the
difference in hourly rate between one's standard rate and the OT rate.
For example, if straight time is $20/hr and OT is $30/hr, its just the
(30-20 = 10) difference that's not being hit with taxes.

Finally, on tips: this provision only applies to cash tips, not tips
put on credit cards. Plus the IRS estimates that 84% of tip income is
never reported anyway. As such, they're simply creating forgiveness on
money that wasn't really being taxed in the first place.
