Trump says he's a 'fan' of EVs.
    06/11/2024

    Speaking to supporters in Phoenix
    on Thursday, Trump described himself
as a "big fan of electric cars."
Three days later in Las Vegas, the
    presumptive Republican nominee for
    president agreed that EVs were
"fine" - even if he had concerns
    about their range. https://www.eenews.net/articles/trump-says-hes-a-fan-of-evs-that-hasnt- stopped-the-lies/

Funny how many Red states cheerfully
    accepted the Biden money.

    I didn't realize Trump wasted $7.5 B on 400 chargers?
Wow, those must be made of platinum or something similar.

charging infrastructure, said a July 22 report from the Government Accountability Office (GAO).

That much money was BUDGETED, doofus.

Show that that much has been SPENT.

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) of 2021, signed
into law by then-President Joe Biden, appropriated $7.5 billion in
funding for two programs—the National Electric Vehicle
Infrastructure Formula Program (NEVI) and the Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program (CFI). The funds were
aimed at supporting the development of public EV charging
    infrastructure.

However, only 384 charging ports had been built nationwide under the
NEVI and CFI programs as of April 2025, the report said.

The Trump administration suspended committing funds for NEVI in
    February.

Which is an admission that all the money WAS NOT SPENT.

    Well this is wonderful news!
That means the money can be allocated to something that is actually
    useful.
Like removing illegals from the country for example.

    Thank you for the update!
