    This newer sub is much better.

    Generating free oxygen takes energy. Power storage on this
    sub is a limited by the battery capacity. The supply is tight enough
    on a normal run that they turn off the lights during descent
    use a glow stick to look at the instruments.

    Anyway, it now seems they all died Sunday when the sub was crushed.
