Nancy Pelosi sold Nvidia stock worth millions just weeks before they
collapsed due to Chinese AI company DeepSeek.

On Monday, US chip giant Nvidia lost hundreds of billions in value after investors discovered China-based start-up DeepSeek had developed a ChatGPT rival in just two months at a cost of under $6 million.

The former House Speaker, who is recovering from emergency hip replacement surgery after a horrific fall in Luxembourg, was invested in Nvidia.

But Pelosi, 84, sold 10,000 shares of Nvidia stock, worth between $1
million and $5 million, on New Year's Eve.

She also got rid of 31,600 Apple shares, valued between $5 million and $25 million, before purchasing 50 call options each in Google parent company Alphabet Inc. and Amazon.com Inc., with each position valued between
$250,001 and $500,000.

President Donald Trump has previously questioned the timing of Pelosi's
trades.

"Nancy Pelosi has a little problem because her husband sold their Visa
stock - they had a lot of Visa stock - one day before it was announced
that Visa is being sued by the Department of Justice," Trump said in
September last year.

Her husband, Paul Pelosi, sold 2,000 shares of Visa stock worth between $500,000 and $1 million on July 1.

"Think of that. Nancy Pelosi sold vast amounts of Visa stock one day
before the big lawsuit that we all read about a few days ago," Trump
continued.

"You think it was luck? I don't. She should be prosecuted. Nancy Pelosi
should be prosecuted for that."

It comes after Pelosi's venture capitalist husband made a staggering $38 million worth of stock trades in the few weeks before Trump's
inauguration.

Paul Pelosi sold $24 million worth of Apple stock and $5 million worth of shares in AI chip-maker Nvidia, which his wife legally had to disclose.

Pelosi's husband has also joined Chicago-based health tech company Tempus
AI, which saw it's stock surge after he took up a position.

Paul was the victim of a horrific hammer attack in their San Francisco
home in October 2022, leaving him with a fractured skull.
