Hertz Global Holdings Inc. has filed paperwork for a public offering that would also move the trading of its shares to the Nasdaq Stock Market .
Some of the company's existing stockholders will sell their shares to the public, Hertz said Friday.
Hertz plans to raise $100 million in the public offering, a placeholder figure companies often use to calculate filing fees and is often changed, according to registration documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission . The company
didn't disclose how many shares will be offered and it hasn't yet determined the terms of the offering, Hertz said.
Hertz plans to list its shares on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol HTZ. The company's shares are currently trading on the over-the-counter market under the symbol HTZZ.
The offering is slated to begin in the fourth quarter.
Earlier this month, the company tapped former Ford Motor Co. Chief Executive Mark Fields as its interim CEO and moved Paul Stone , who was serving as CEO, to the role of president and chief operating officer.
The moves come as Hertz resets itself after the company exited from bankruptcy under new ownership and as demand for rental cars has snapped back after bookings were crushed in the early days of the pandemic.
Hertz filed for bankruptcy in May 2020 , after suffering from heavy debt and a collapse in reservations. It emerged from bankruptcy on June 30 .

    Fields a salary of $62,500 a week, or roughly $250,000 a month.

IDK. Leaving bankruptcy is certainly a good time to buy IF you have confidence in the leadership and Rental Cars in general...
I am going to watch for a while... IMO companies are NOT sending out their people in the numbers of days gone buy. They have a lot of competition going forward too which makes me take pause on the company. If it were priced at $15. I would be
more excited. It would be a 3-5 yr hold. I think there are better companies to buy. Apple being one.

    Good Luck!

How else do you pull him away from a cushy job at Ford to a more risky job at Hertz. CEO makes money if he makes stockholders make money. I had to rent a car in Austin Tx last week and the pickings were slim and expensive! My rental had 68,000
miles on it and minor hail damage.Later in week, all cars were rented out. HTZZ, CAR and private Enterprise are only games in town.

Paid $500 to rent for 4 days in Austin in Nov. I rented from Fox. The cheapest. Do not think HTZ owns them. HTZ has nowhere to go but up. Headed to Cabo, Baja del Sur, tomorrow. Screw it.
