    I think the easiest explanation is: MONEY.

    Also he has enough media coverage and the devotion of enough morons
    that he can publicly excoriate any of them and screw up their brand.

    Look at Meatball Ron (obviously, I'm using a name Trump created for
    him, that says something, doesn't it) floundering in the races like a
    future loser hanging on long enough to fail it.

    within them can't comprehend a den of thieves.
