Kim Davis is ordered to pay $100,000 to same-sex couple she denied
    marriage license

A federal jury has awarded $100,000 to a same-sex couple who sued a
former county clerk in Kentucky who refused to issue them a marriage
license, claiming that doing so would violate her religious beliefs.

Kim Davis, the former clerk in Rowan County, Ky., was sued by two
same-sex couples to whom she refused to grant marriage licenses. The
district court found Davis personally liable in both cases, but only
    awarded damages in one.

In the case Ermold v. Davis, the jury awarded $50,000 to each of the plaintiffs, David Ermold and David Moore, according to attorneys for
Davis. No damages were awarded in the case Yates v. Davis.

A federal judge ruled last year that Davis had violated the
    plaintiffs' constitutional rights.

Bwa ha ha ha. The friction between religious rights and the law will continously make for entertainment around these parts.

In this case, she was employed to do a job, and refused to do it on a
religious belief. I have no idea if she acted alone, or if "others"
suggested to her to do it. Some of these cases are due to others.

She shouldn't have accepted the job.

Former county clerk Kim Davis, who refused to issue marriage licenses
in Kentucky to same-sex couples, must pay a total of $260,104 in fees
and expenses to attorneys who represented one couple, according to a
    federal judge's ruling.

That's in addition to $100,000 in damages a jury said the former Rowan
County clerk should pay the couple who sued.

Well, on one side we've got "your religious beliefs." On the other
side, we've got "the law." Welcome to the real world, Kim.
