• Face mask effectiveness: What science knows now

No mask is 100% effective. An N95, for example, is named as such
because it is at least 95 percent efficient at blocking airborne
particles when used properly. But even if a mask has an 80%
efficiency, Marr said, it still offers meaningful protection.
    ...
    ...
Marr said research shows that high-quality masks can block particles
that are the same size as those carrying the coronavirus. Masks work,
Marr explained, as a filter, not as a sieve. Virus particles must
weave around the layers of fibers, and as they do so, they may crash
into those fibers and become trapped.

Unfortunately, no mask is effective against stupidity.

Fortunately, stupidity is evolutionarily self-defeating. Breathe
    deeply, dumbfucks, breathe deeply.

If the virus must be inhaled, it's better to receive a small viral
load than a whopper sized one. Immune system will be overwhelmed with
    a whopper load.

I haven't seen that behavior, or the floor arrows, in well over a year.
That's not a thing around here, anymore. COVID is basically old news,
now. Perhaps this varies by region of the US.

It's a corporate based convenience store, with many locations in
    various states.

When a state law has a social distancing requirement, a corp may apply
it to all of their locations

In Ohio....unknown if this is still the law.

Comply with social distancing requirements of the U.S. Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention and Ohio Department of Health,
including, where possible: Designating 6-foot distances with signage,
tape, or other means to allow for adequate social distancing between
employees. This also applies to customers in lines.' <https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/wcm/connect/gov/5dcfbc66-90bf-44d8-82df-855fdaf1e9e3/COVID-19+Checklist+for+Businesses+and+Employers.pdf?MOD=AJPERES&CONVERT_TO=url&CACHEID=ROOTWORKSPACE.Z18_M1HGGIK0N0JO00QO9DDDDM3000-5dcfbc66-90bf-44d8-82df-
