This whole war has really exposed things. It has exposed Hamas as petty
and cruel and ineffectual. It has exposed Israel as as cruel and
uncaring and relentless. It has exposed the citizens of Gaza to cold and disease and death.

Longitudinally, Israel has had to deal with aggressors.

When Hamas was elected, they terminated further elections.

Hamas is not concerned with "we the people" but their religious
    beliefs being thrusted upon others.

When the enemy blends in so its difficult to separate the chaff from
the wheat, senseless killings will happen.

    My Lai massacre
    ...
    ...
On the eve of the attack, at the Charlie Company briefing, Captain
Ernest Medina told his men that nearly all the civilian residents of
the hamlets in Son My village would have left for the market by 07:00,
and that any who remained would most likely be VC or VC
sympathizers.[22] He was asked whether the order included the killing
of women and children. Those present later gave differing accounts of
Medina's response. Some, including platoon leaders, testified that the
orders, as they understood them, were to kill all VC and North
Vietnamese combatants and "suspects" (including women and children, as
well as all animals), to burn the village, and pollute the wells.[23]
He was quoted as saying, "They're all VC, now go and get them", and
was heard to reply to the question "Who is my enemy?", by saying,
"Anybody that was running from us, hiding from us, or appeared to be
the enemy. If a man was running, shoot him, sometimes even if a woman
with a rifle was running, shoot her."

Don't forget it's exposed the American government as unable politically
to do anything other than offer Israel it's full support, and limit
criticism to a few carefully turned phrases of suggestion. It's also
exposed American media as ignoring Israeli genocidal tendencies while
being outraged at any criticism of Israel, which they consider
    "anti-semitism."

Rotten to the core. I wonder how many American media outlets are Palestinian-owned? /snark+disgust.

Not sure of your reference frame, but if there is a "peaceful" way to
remove Hamas currently, do let them know.

Keep in mind who are the aggressors:

"During the 1950s, Israel was frequently attacked by Palestinian
fedayeen, nearly always against civilians,[205] mainly from the Egyptian-occupied Gaza Strip,[206] leading to several Israeli reprisal operations."

    <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel#Arab%E2%80%93Israeli_conflict>

Palestinian fedayeen - are militants or guerrillas of a nationalist
orientation from among the Palestinian people.[1][2] Most Palestinians
consider the fedayeen to be "freedom fighters",[3] while most Israelis
    consider them to be "terrorists".

Well, if you consider fighting fire with fire as "genocidal
tendencies" then yes... although Israel was generally quite a happy
and relatively peaceful place on October 6th. The next day, Hamas
decided to poke the sleeping Tiger with a stick. Now they complain
that the Tiger is chasing and eating them! <shrugs>

Most sensible people can have very little sympathy with Hamas or the
people that support them/voted for them, now that Israel has decided
    to teach them a lesson.

It is of course all very Biblical too...

Hatfield-McCoy Feud from 1863 to 1891, but they were not nations.

Class conflict - refers to the political tension and economic
antagonism that exist among the social classes of society, because of socioeconomic competition for resources among the social classes,
between the rich and the poor. ...In his History, Thucydides describes
a civil war in the city of Corcyra between the pro-Athens party of the
common people and their pro-Corinth oligarchic opposition. Wiki

    very Biblical

Historically, there were different religious conflicts, but most all
have been "settled." When "rednecks" keep pouring and requiring
others to drink their hate elixir, one generation after another, this
pseudo belief can not be extinguished. I do not see this in biblical
terms, but in historical terms involving human indoctrination.
