    Kurt Gödel, while studying the Constitution to become a citizen in the
    late 1940s, became extremely agitated at a "loophole" that would allow
    the US to become a "dictatorship". The exact workings of this loophole
    was not recorded by the people around him, or by Gödel himself, making
    a sort of Fermat's Last Theorem of Constitutional Law. Speculation for
    what it could be has largely circled around the lack of restriction on
    the content of amendments. (Consider the "sci-fi" short by a different
    Kurt, Vonnegut's "Harrison Bergeron".) Whatever Gödel saw there, I bet
    it wasn't the present route of Party Above Constitution which Trump is
    so eagerly pursuing.

    In a sense, it has been a capitalist dictatorship since its earlier
    days. Uncle Sam has not always appeased this community, but to
    maintain any nation which might have potential aggressors, there must
    be incentives to engage the business sector (or whatever it takes to
    have military/police/etc muscle).

    A dictatorship requires "manpower" to accomplish its objectives. A dictatorship tends to "fuck" we the peoples' interests, and eliminates
    the opposition.
