Trump 'unleashed his followers' on E. Jean Carroll, her lawyer tells
    jury

In her opening statement Tuesday, E. Jean Carroll's lawyer Shawn
Crowley tells the jury in former President Donald Trump's second
defamation trial that he "unleashed his followers to go after her" by continually denying her claim that he raped her in a department store
changing room in the 1990s. Judge Lewis Kaplan tells prospective
jurors "it has been determined already that Mr. Trump did sexually
    assault Ms. Carroll."
    ...
    ...
"Donald Trump was president when he made those statements, and he used
the world's biggest microphone to attack Ms. Carroll, humiliate her
and to destroy her reputation," Crowley told the jury in the case that
will decide how much more money, if any, Trump will owe Carroll.

Crowley noted that even as Trump sat in the courtroom earlier in the
day, defamatory messages continued to be posted to his social media
    account.

As predicted, E Jean Carroll's counsel argues in opening statement of
civil trial that punitive damages are needed to get Trump to stop
defaming Carroll, which he did even today. So reminiscent of what
happened with Rudy, which led to enormous punitive award against him.

such as a one-way trip to solitary confinement in Guantanamo, for
    starters.

Its been his modus operandi to "attack" those who 'fuck' with him.

If Jean gets a large settlement, I wonder how Trump himself will pay
for it. It appears his company operates on a 'shoe string' budget
(big loans), and I doubt he has millions/millons in his bank accounts

Considering he has a POTUS retirement, if jurors sock it to him, his
savings will be used to pay Jean.

In his financial disclosures, Trump had stated he had two money-market
accounts with Banks United, The Washington Post reports. The accounts
held somewhere between $5.1 million and $25.2 million.

Another Florida bank, Professional Bank, last week announced that it
would be cutting ties with Trump, saying it would no longer conduct
business with the former president or his organizations.

Signature Bank in New York and Deutsche Bank have also said they will
no longer be conducting future business with Trump. Signature Bank
notably took a strong stance against Trump and his allies in Congress,
calling for him to resign and saying it would not conduct business
with lawmakers who had objected to certifying the presidential
    election.

Bwa ha ha - over $80 million in additional damages. Let's see if that
shuts his fat, stupid mouth. Keep talking, dumbass, and we'll keep
    suing.

Wonder if the PAC will foot the bill for this one? I'm quite sure they
will reluctantly get the bill and pay it. "Keep sending money to save
    the nation, losers!"

But....he has delayed the first payout, so I assume the same with
second amount....if he has some 83 million bucks sitting around.

As part of the agreement, which requires approval from the judge and
could be modified, Carroll would not have access to the funds until
after all appeals, including potentially to the US Supreme Court, are satisfied. ...A federal judge approved the plan late Friday.

You would think one of these days the Supreme Court would be interested
in hearing a case not related to that fat bastard. Every single case
he loses he just keeps appealing until he's gotten it to the nation's
    top court.

Notice Giuliani's bankruptcy statements makes mention of money owed by
Trump. Bwa ha ha, he never got paid for all that ass-hattery.

When does that man's shit begin to stink?

Trump has a history of not paying contractors. A person doing this
would have some formula for determining who gets paid. From news
tidbits, he appears at times to be a compulsive penny pincher; like
hiring Mexicans to do lawn, maid, waitress, etc., services..

Giuliani's consulting service may have been making extra bucks, due to
his association with Trump. Sidebar - Keep in mind, elites striving
hard to "earn" dollars seek contact with those who can enrich them.
Being in/near POTUS's Kitchen Cabinet is icing on the cake.

From my observations of Giuliani, he went greed ballistic, and most
likely assisted his clients' requests during Trump's time in office.

Fox News' most-watched show hasn't once mentioned the jury awarding E.
Jean Carroll $83 million -- even though the verdict came in just
    minutes before airtime.

The Five, though, has covered all of these topics today.

If Trump can appeal these cases, it could take several years before a
    judicial outcome.

If say Carroll or Trump passed away before a ruling, I don't know if
    this would affect the payout.

Regardless, I suspect he might attempt (or has) ditching his money,
and then file for bankruptcy....On another note, Infowars host Alex
Jones has attempted to shuffle monies around.

Question is will he have to cough up this 83 million before another
    court reviews these settlements.

    Trump.

This excellent piece by my old friend @BenWeiserNYT notes that it
could take years to collect the $88.3 million in judgments against
Trump. That is true, except in the following sense: Carroll could
sell the right to collect the judgments to someone else, who would
acquire the rights to the proceeds and assume the obligation of
managing both the appellate proceedings and the efforts to attach
Trump's property. Even at an appropriate risk-adjusted and
time-value-adjusted discount, this could be a mutually advantageous
transaction both for the 80-year-old Ms. Carroll, as well as for the
judgment collector, with E. Jean getting immediate liquidity and the
collector getting any upside on the back end (which would include the
very high interest rate provided for by law).

He's using donors' monies in " civil and criminal cases."

Trump spent more than he took in during 2023

His total legal bill is staggering. And it left one of his primary

In total, the former president spent roughly $50 million in donor
