• Florida's Stop WOKE Act

From JAB@21:1/5 to All on Fri Mar 8 15:04:31 2024
Some good legal news: The conservative 11th Cir. unanimously struck
down Florida's Stop WOKE Act as violative of the 1st Amendment. The
state cannot forbid private employers from having training programs on
race and diversity, as the Act required. Sorry, DeSantis. It's a hard
    no.

So does that mean that it is legal to discriminate in florida when it
    comes to political beliefs?

Does this also allow companies who are pro-Nazi to require training in the foundations of national socialism?

I would imagine that it would also be allowed by the 1st amendment.

Last, but not least, will this be appealed and tried again when Trump sits secure in the white house? =)

    So does that mean

Employers can have training programs on race/diversity...their option.

Obviously, but what that decision leads to, logically, was what I was
asking. A right applies to everyone, so I think I should in theory be
allowed to have national socialist training in my company if democrat
    want to have woke-training.

That the State of Florida's law, Stop WOKE Act, was "violative of the
    1st Amendment."

violative - the act of doing something that is not allowed by a law
    or rule

As such, this law was invalidated by the "conservative 11th Cir. "
