    Interesting, two browsers seem to require watching a minute or two of advertisement before the video is presented.

    I suspect the browser's folks are attempting to cash in, but I snip
    the URL, and paste it into another browser to watch the vid itself.

    For a short 15 second ad, that's fine, but longer ads I believe will
    tick off viewers.

    Use ublock origin. I don't think I've ever seen a youtube ad. Mostly I see
    them when regular users want to show me videos on their computers.
