• after spraying orange paint

2 climate activists were arrested after spraying orange paint on
    Stonehenge
    ...
    ...
The group said the orange cornflour used on the monument would wash
    away in the rain.
    ...
    ...
The action took place just one day before the summer solstice -- the
longest day of the year --- when thousands of people are expected to
    descend upon the historic monument.
    ...
    ...
It's the latest public protest initiated by activists with Just Stop
Oil, whose members have also interrupted tennis matches at Wimbledon,
disrupted the London pride parade and defacedclassic works of art.

Well, this doesn't change my position or thinking on climate change in
any way, shape, or form. But it does raise my ire against these
    vandalist losers.

Didn't this group or similar throw red paint at the Mona Lisa painting
earlier, a similarly poorly-thought out protest? I'm imagining young
activists who secretly desire the thrill of being vandals, and climate
change is just a convenient "cause."

There have to be better ways. Like posting a screed on Usenet, for
    example /s
