    Bwa ha ha! Good one.

The same Republicans who push to outlaw abortion have quietly spirited
their mistresses over the border to have one too, I'm sure.

You'd think the Dems could make some light of this sort of thing. Some
day we'll look back on this administration as a study of how not to run
a communications department. So many missed opportunities.

First on the list: framing this election as "democracy is under threat."
Haw, as if Americans were capable of such abstract thought anymore.

The "Mitch McConnell goes catatonic in front of the microphone" videos
(two separate occasions mind you) should be on permanent repeat-loop
every time someone complains about Biden's cognitive health.

So many missed opportunities. I guess WashDC really is a bubble
impervious to actual contact with public opinion. A smarter team would
set up shop in Topeka, Kansas to find out what Americans actually care
about. "Threats to democracy" isn't one of them: hint.

Today's conservative "eugenicists" with their plan....

Crime and religion: An international comparison among thirteen
    industrial nations

At the individual level of analysis, evidence has accumulated in
support of the hypothesis that persons who are most religious commit
crimes at lower rates than those who are least religious. This study
examined the relationship at a societal level, based on 1990-1991 data
from 13 industrial nations. Overall, the findings revealed that more
religious countries have lower crime rates than less religious
countries, at least regarding property crimes (as opposed to either
aggressive or victimless offenses). As has been reported when
comparing individuals, this relationship was more pronounced in the
case of "overt" aspects of religiosity (especially church attendance
and church membership) than in the case of any specific religious
beliefs. The results were discussed in the context of four theories
that predict an inverse religiosity-criminality relationship: control
theory, rational choice theory, moral reasoning theory, and arousal
theory. Findings from the present study seemed most consistent with
moral reasoning theory and arousal theory.

One issue here is the "adults" in the room are wanting the "children"
to act responsibly; do as I say, but not as I do.

I believe most children are aware of businesses/politicians can be crooked/irresponsible/etc.

Morality starts at the top, not from the bottom via Ten Commandments.
The Free Lunch Society does not want to clean up its act, but expects
    others to be model citizens.
