Switzerland to end 2024 with an analog FM broadcast-killing bang

Time to upgrade that receiver if you're one of the few Swiss that
still don't have one able to receive DAB+ signals

    dumb
de dumb da de dumb. So it will be like DTV where you get it or not? Or
is it going to be on another variant of internet? We are talking about
data that is encoded, and waves that passes through and we are able to
    pick up.

This is a response to the post seen at: http://www.jlaforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=668998953#668998953

Interesting. What is the driver? Do they need the frequency space for
something else? If not, why not just let the private stations carry on if
    they like?

I'd say a business reason (more channels possible...less power
    required).

DAB+ also cuts down on "electrosmog," a term for the EM fields and
radiation emitted by pretty much every bit of electrified technology
we use, SBC said, because it emits far less waste energy, and antennas
would be located in more remote, high-elevation areas outside of
    population areas.
