I hadn't heard of Bluesky before, any comments?

A number of legit posters with a realistic political view have moved
    on to Bluesky.

I use X mainly for humorous vids, interesting pics, historical
tidbits, but I'm not aware of this group moving on to Bluesky.

Wiki - Twitter's then-CEO Jack Dorsey first announced the Bluesky
    initiative in 2019 on Twitter
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluesky

There was another replacement called Post, but each user, sooner or
later, would have to cough up some monies to post/view. It appears it
    went belly up.

I'm not aware of Bluesky's incentives, etc.

Bluesky is seeing a major surge as X users unhappy with the platform's
latest policy decisions make the move to the competitor social
network. The decentralized social media platform has grown to more
than 16 million users, including Swifties. If you're making the switch
-- or at least wanting to see if the grass is greener (or bluer) on
the other side -- we've put together a guide on how to get started.

    AI Overview

Bluesky is a decentralized social media platform, which means that
users have more control over their data and how they interact with the platform:

    Host your own servers

Users can create their own servers to store data and set their own
rules, instead of using servers owned by the company. =======================================================

A decentralized network means that Bluesky, like Mastodon, will have
multiple instances. Each instance can be generalist or have a specific
subject, as there can be an instance focused on sports, another
focused on furries and so on. You can also just stay on the main
instance (Bluesky Social) where you can post whatever you want and get
    the same Twitter experience.

Just as it works here on Reddit, each instance will have moderators,
who are not Bluesky employees, who will apply their own set of rules
and moderate the content posted within them. In this way, it
eliminates the need for Bluesky to have a large team to moderate
content across the entire social network if these moderators will do
    so in each instance.

Regarding posts, Bluesky team discourages using the name 'skeets' and
prefers to simply call them 'posts'.
