    To be clear: I don't believe all this crap about UFOs, Iranian spies,
    whatever. But I do think it's reasonable to know what's going on.

    As for non-story, get over yourself. A drone formation flying around
    some afternoon is a bunch of nerds having a laugh. But they have been
    up for long periods of time, often at night. Not cool. It's a story.

    If nothing else, this little stunt has made clear anyone with time and inclination can repeat the experiment, add cameras, phone jamming
    equipment, whatever kind of espionage tech they want. With impunity, apparently.

    Commercial sized drones are not that size, but for the military, the
    MQ-C Gray Eagle is a bit larger, and they aren't cheap.

    When looking up in a clear sky, an aircraft's dimensions change as a
    function of distance to the observer. At night, there tends to be no
    reference frame to know how far away an object is located.
