Potomac plane crash: Rescue operation underway near Reagan airport
Aircraft traffic was halted at Ronald Reagan National Airport after a
military Blackhawk helicopter and plane collided with each other in
midair.
American Airlines Flight 5342 from Wichita, Kansas, collided with a
helicopter, which the Federal Aviation Administration revealed was a
military Blackhawk transport helicopter. A webcam video from the
Kennedy Center captured the incident.

All 64 people on the passenger plane and three aboard the helicopter
are feared dead. Twenty-eight bodies have been recovered, officials
said at a press conference Thursday morning.
"At this point, we don't believe there are survivors from this
accident," D.C. Fire and EMS Chief John A. Donnelly said.
