Trump says helicopter in crash was flying too high
"The Blackhawk helicopter was flying too high, by a lot. It was far

Aircraft would have been on a glide path, and the pilot would have
been on FAA's required glide path. Pilot would have been looking at instruments while on this glide path, not out of side windows.
Also, aircraft's avoidance alarm would have been turned off
(automatically done) when coming in on a landing.
If helicopter was seen by its lights (if on), evaluating a potential
collision is not easy at night....
