President Trump's planned tariffs could effectively tax the average

    nonpartisan nonprofit Tax Foundation finds.

produced a "net negative impact on the U.S. economy."

$Trump tokens - "94 percent of the tokens were purchased by around 40 "whales," large buyers holding more than $10 million worth of the
    coins."

T-Borg can make exemptions to these tariffs for an affected company.
So if the $Trump tokens have other whales buying them, which have no
intrinsic value, it may be clear who is pinching these companies.

Footnotes - This "game" was played in Trump 1.0 on a smaller scale.
Trump signed the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), which
entered into force on July 1, 2020. It is said he is in violation now

I'm not an economist, so maybe someone can explain to me how Americans benefit from these tariffs? I see it as a lose/lose proposition

This is the truth on the surface and according to economic science.
However! Trumps tariffs are a bargaining chip he uses to get other
concessions from countries. They will be in force for a while, until he negotiates excellent deals for the US with the help of his excellent book
    the art of the deal!

People and the media think that Trump is stoopid and loves Tariffs. They
do not understand the art of the deal. =)

This is not possible, given Trumps enormous power and charisma! Let us
wait and see. You will be impressed by the genius of Trump, I'm sure!

Lucky for my household, we buy almost everything second-hand, save
groceries and toiletries. Tariffs won't hit us hard, but it may be
rough for many. Best of luck to him, but Trump will have to learn the
hard way that his tariffs won't bring back US industry, at least not
like he hopes... He's just hurting the consumers.

We can't evaluate his private thinking...his public speak is not
something one would want to trust.

I believe his tariff sales pitch is false rhetoric. It's the higher
US wages that brought about the "rust belt" during/after Reagan era,
and US workers can't exist on Mexican/etc wages.

Tidbit - I heard the other day a good Mexican wage per day was the
same per hour for an US worker....say, $20.00/day vs $160.00/day

Are CEOs in the armament industry members of T-Borg's golf clubs, or
who gave large sums to Rs' election campaigns?

his tariffs won't bring back US industry

As noted, US workers can't survive economically on say a $8.00/day
wage. So, just more BS rhetoric

What they can do, say for steel/aluminum industries, is raise prices
so these US industries profit more (as they did in Trump 1.0)

The other day I believe a Ford spokesperson came out and said these
metal tariffs could in effect bankrupt the auto industry.

Anytime there is a change in something, there are consequences. Make
US workers poorer, then fewer "toys" are bought, for instance.

US government for years has supported in various ways corporations to
do this/that, or providing research which increases their profits.
Currently, Rs & T-Borg are supporting oil/gas industries rather than
Green Energy, which will cause a decrease in employment and sales.

Consequences, the T-Borg does not care...
